WA Child Safety Services (WACSS) is a Western Australian not-for-profit, non-government organisation that provides quality child protection and abuse prevention education to children, parents, schools, professionals and community groups across Australia.
WACSS believes protecting children from harm is a shared responsibility for the family, the community and professionals.
The Protective Behaviours program promotes the safety and wellbeing of all children by providing tools, strategies and resources to reinforce the key themes and concepts.
The Protective Behaviours message is delivered in a clear, simple and non-confronting way, using fun and engaging activities, developed in accordance with children’s age and developmental stages at home, in educational settings and throughout the wider community.
The program is designed to open the doorway to discussion and break down societal norms that can inhibit disclosures.
Empowering children, adults and organisations creates safer communities. Protecting children is everyone’s business. Contact the WA Child Safety Services team today to find out more about how we can work together to prevent abuse in our community.
