Protective Behaviours Education

Our team of qualified and experienced trainers visit your client’s home, school or other location to deliver a customised Protective Behaviours program.

The Protective Behaviours program teaches 10 topic areas:

  1. Feelings and Theme 1- “We all have the right to feel safe at all times.”
  2. Early Warning Signs – the physical signs our bodies give us when we may be unsafe.
  3. Safety Continuum – the range of feelings: safe/fun to feel scared/risking on purpose/unsafe.
  4. Theme 2, “We can talk with someone about anything no matter what it is” and safe/unsafe secrets.
  5. Networks – identifying trusted adults who can help.
  6. Persistence expectation – persisting in seeking help until the child feels safe again.
  7. Body awareness and ownership – understanding the difference between private and public, and ‘I’m the boss of my body’.
  8. Personal space – safe and unsafe touch, social distance.
  9. Assertiveness
  10. Theme and program reinforcement

Cyber Safety Education 

Our team of qualified and experienced trainers visit your client’s home, school or other location to deliver a customised Cyber Safety program. 

WA Child Safety Services’ Cyber Safety education covers real and relevant topic areas that directly relate to children’s online activity providing information to help keep them safe.
